INSTRUCTIONS
Choose a suitable container i.e. china, stone, plaster, glass.
Pour in the wax beads/crystals.
Tap the container slightly so the wax can settle into the container.
Push the wick into the crystals and push the wax back around the wick.
Leave at least 1.5cm of the wick showing at the top.
When placing the wick into the wax, make sure that the wick is at least 3cm away from the edge of the container.
If you are using a large container you can add multiple wicks for a better display.
Light the wick and enjoy your self-made candle!
After the wick has burnt away, wait for the wax around it to go cold and solid and then discard.
Top up with fresh wax beads/crystals if needed, add a new wick and it’s ready to use again.
Normal candle safety instructions apply.
Options
If you’d like your candle to be scented, add a drop of suitable fragrance or pure essential oil to the wax beads/crystals and mix well before adding the wick.
Do not add fragrance while alight and do not place fragrance next to the wick.
If you have a tall container you can fill the bottom with water or coloured water and add some decorations for extra impact then fill the top with wax beads/crystals.
When using wicks in water, cut off the metal base, if the wick has one, and make sure you don’t push the wick into the water.
